Spin to Live!

Disclaimer: There is currently a known bug involving the Simon mini-game that occurs when you fail it. If the sequence does not match, please quickly "die" to avoid losing time needlessly.

In this game show-inspired world, you are trapped in a deadly prize wheel challenge.

To survive, you must spin the wheel and complete 5 rounds of mini-games before the timer runs out.

Fail to keep up… and you die.

Gameplay

  • Prize Wheel system (random selection)
  • Timer-based game
  • 5 rounds to win

Mini-Games

  • Platformer (Normal & Hard)
  • Puzzle  (Normal & Hard)
  • Cannon shooting (Hard)

Each spin either throws you into a challenge or mess with your time. Adapt quickly, or lose everything.

The game takes inspiration from exaggerated American game shows, being dramatic and ridiculous on purpose.

This game was created solo for the game jam "The Very Serious Juniper Dev Game Jam", with the theme "Spin to win". No external code assets were used. Aside from music and two 3D models, everything was made by me.

I really enjoyed the game! The visuals and gameplay are both very good, and the whole game feels polished overall. The voice acting is especially great and adds a lot of personality and energy to the experience. I also really like the main concept.

The only things I might adjust are the platforming level, which feels a little too long, and the fact that you can’t grab onto ledges — although, to be fair, this isn’t Assassin’s Creed. 😄

I would also consider adding an option to skip the wheel-spinning animation, especially when the result only adds or removes time, because in those cases the same sequence can happen almost immediately again.

Overall, it’s a very fun and well-made game. Great job!
